I heard "A Star Shines" on one of Time Warner Cable's music channels and had to have your CD. Your work is truly inspirational! Your song helps me remember who I am--and I don't know how you could know...you are connected to something greater than us all. Thanks for sharing your talents with the world!

I just love your music Davol. It has such a 'feelgoodness' to it. Not 'cluttered', 'pushed' or 'overdone' but with deliberateness, you create the beautiful music, that is mostly light and airy at times, yet very pleasantly driving at times, and with masterful control, you create enough 'space' in your music for each instrument to shine through on it's own, (the electronic samples that are used, and real vocals when used), that brings forth each of the qualities to be heard and felt. A mark of a "Master". Given the 'automanticicy' that is built in to most synthesizers, you display this 'masterful' control again, by not letting your compositions, and mixes, be dictated by the synth, alone, by merely letting it run away with it self. Again the mark of a 'Master' in the category of Vangelis, Bekki Willitams, Tangerine Dream, etc.

I do a radio show at the University of Hartford's WWUH. When I first heard Good Sign (even before glancing at the jewel case), I said to myself "This is happy music." Slap this CD in your car and take a ride. It will chase away the blahs with high energy, rich sounds, and great production values. Now I must revisit the older Davol albums. Thanks for creating music for living beings everywhere. Our audience in the Greater Hartford area will love it.

Hey DAVOL, comment vas-tu?
Jonathan Dunn - Monday, March 8th, 2010 1:05 PM PST
Davol - Just purchased "Good Sign" from iTunes last night. I am just stunned at the clear, simple beauty of the melodies, textures, and orchestration. As a native Denverite who moved away, I must say your music brings the beauty of Colorado back to my life here in Dallas. I can't wait for your next recording!

I discovered your music from "mystic Waters" also the two other silver waves records, until the Beautiful "Day like no other" more groovy like some space lounge music, very interesting insert with the poem from Rimbaud. The short format of your music pieces make it easier to grab and listen to it in different situations, altough I would hear one big long progressiv music lasting 20 minutes from Davol just to discover what you could do when you try to make some Berlin school evolution lenghts sometimes. A good deal to insert in a next production, why not... thanks for all your beautiful music.

Glad to see that Davol is back with yet another winning number. After wearing out a couple of copies of "Open Book" I'm glad to see that you've followed up "A Day Like No Other" with a Truth that brings yet another dimension to the collection. Never shy to develop a quietly provoking piece - Truth is like a fresh "dewdrop" of perspective on the human element. Thanks!

I've been a fan of your music for years - it was awesome to see that you've released a new CD in 2005! I used to work at the plant where Silver Wave had their CD's made (Better Quality Cassettes in Council Bluffs, IA and later Music City Optical Media in Nashville, TN). I "discovered" your music one day while testing a CD to see if it played correctly. The rest is history - I bought everything you published!
A big fan,
Chuck

The antidote for anything that ails you. Sparkling, effervescent, good-natured, mood-elevating, wholesome, pure. Remember well the first time ever hearing a Davol track on an LA radio station in 1991. Desperate to find his albums since. No matter where his musical journeys take us, I will be along to the Ride which reminds me, the ending for his track "Ride" is one of the most beautiful ever ending in any song. As in fine wine, finishes, endings are so important.

Davol, you have done a magnificent job at seamlessly fusing several genres of music into a polished, progressive contemporary style. Your music has been dubbed "New Age" however, I think you have carved out a truly unique style of your own. Your work is inspiring, sunny and uplifting.
Thank you.

Dear Davol
I am a graduate (PhD student in Virginia Tech and came to know of you and your amazing music through Rob Short (Robbie). Being originally from South Asia I am a huge fan of eastern music. Nevertheless in many of your musical compositions I found some shades of eastern music too. Your music took me to a paradise of lush greens, beautiful waterfalls and unending mountain ranges just like what I can see in your wonderful photographs. I wish all the best on your future ventures and hope to meet you this amazingly talented person one day.
Robbie - Tuesday, June 5th, 2007 5:05 PM PDT
Davol is an absolutely extraordinary musician. You know, you can own many cd's but how many do you listen to over and over and over again and never ever get tired of? That is how I feel about Davol's music. I find myself not being able to wait for the next ones too!! What's more, I am blessed to be a close friend of Davol's. His true nature and character, the kindness and love that spills from his heart and soul, surely translates so beautifully and successfully to his music in my opinion. But also, his ever honoring of his playful inner child, finds a way to come through on some of the tracks too! Thank you Davol, for all you are and all that you share with the world through your musical talents!!!

Since the late 80s I've been hearing your music on New Age radio programs, which were very rare then. I've always loved your sound and style, and now with the miracle of the Internet I can hear and see who you are, both inside and out. It's amazing. You and so many others were once unreachable stars in the heavens. But now with my computer you can come into my home and play for me and visit with me. Thank you so much. I hope you will always continue with that same close-to-mysterious sound that is your signature.

Davol, This is all incredibly interesting! I had no idea what kind of successes you were having or adventures. How wonderful it must have been to live in Paris! My passion has been to live in Italy. Eric Roberts - Tuesday, November 28th, 2006 6:02 PM PST
Just wanted to let you know I really enjoy listening to your music, and I think we have much in common! First, we both live in Denver, both love French (studied in France and lived in Geneva, Switzerland for a few years) and are both professional musicians!
I'm a professional guitarist/bassist/composer and my CD, "IN A SILENT PLACE", featuring New Age Cellist David Darling, was nominated last year by NAR in their "Best Instrumental Album - Acoustic" category, as well as being #8 overall in their Top 100 Radio Airplay for 2005, and was #2 for awhile on the Music Choice "Soundscapes" program. So we probably share similar goals musically and spiritually! I am just getting into software synthesizers and strings and starting to study orchestration, a big learning curve! Perhaps we could collaborate on a future project together??
Moosically yours, ERIC ROBERTS, MusicMagic Productions

Got all 5 CD's. Best is jhalinka, paradox, mokimbo, say it, ride, and just like you. One night I played jhalinka repeatedly for 6 hours and I could not get tired of listening to it. I prefer instrumentals only but
I find "just like you" reminds me of my daughter who is Cantonese, Swedish & Polish, just like me. I also have a lot of Tangerine Dream
music. I can hear the influence in your compositions. Wish there was a way to make 1 cut last 78 minutes on 1 CD of your music style.

Davol I just heard your music for the first time today. I love it. I heard it on the cable channels on soundscapes. I had to listen to more. Every song on each album makes me want to buy them all. Keep up the great music. Im telling everyone I know about you.

Hi Davol. I'm listening to your new CD Good Sign and enjoy it very much. It is a good follow up to A Day Like No Other. One of the things I like most about your music is your masterful use of sound effects, such as your sweeps and various percussion sounds. Thanks.

Rich - Wednesday, April 29th, 2009 4:27 PM PDT
Caught your interview with DJ on KSBR this weekend, really liked your style. Have to say that, up to now, I have not been familiar with your music. I am now a new fan starting with " A Day Like No Other".
DJ can be counted on to supply great artists and the most unique music without a doubt!

Hi Davol. The new track and video are fresh. Nice work! Also, I like how your music has morphed into more of a modern contemporary style, with elements of Jazz and Techno. Very cutting edge and filled with positive energy. Keep up the good work my friend.

Edgar Froese, the frontman for the legendary Tangerine Dream is also a devout vegetarian and electronic music virtuouso. Davol and Tangerine Dream creat solacing music for the ears, the mind and the soul.

My paternal grandmother was full blooded italien, family name; Mastrangelo. All relatives are deceased, so I want to do some back ground checking sometime. Talk to you soon - Jennie
